Diana is a beloved San Francisco Bay Area teacher and an active performer. She is well known in the harp world for her unique style, which incorporates ethnic and contemporary harp traditions. She has been composing and arranging music for solo and multiple harps for over three decades; and actively studies various traditional folk harp styles, including Latin and Celtic, which flavor her compositions.

She is director of the Multicultural Music Fellowship, a non-profit that promotes multi-cultural harp music through concerts and educational outreach programs. She also directs the Bay Area Youth Harp Ensemble, and the Mission Harp Ensemble for Latino children.

The composer writes: “This collection of compositions is mainly inspired by my deep attraction to and affinity for a variety of harp traditions from Latin America. The music of the Latin arpistas drew me in with its fun and unique rhythms, and open-hearted expression. It has continued to be a source of inspiration and a path for my ever-deepening relationship with music.”
